Patience not required
You know how impatient you sometimes get, waiting for the latest whiz-bang doo-dad to arrive at your door? Tiger Direct seems to have figured out a way to alleviate that part of the deal…and save you $$ too. I ordered a SIIG firewire expresscard, UPS ground, on Thursday at about 9AM PDT hoping to see it on Monday. When I got home the next day, there it was on the front porch. AND they saved me $20 over the local big electronic store, Fry’s, $65 vs $85.
Checking the UPS label I see that the shipper is SYX Distribution in Fresno, a central California city. From that I suspect that Tiger is sub-contracting their warehousing and shipping to a larger company which has centers strategically located to make overnight or two day deliveries possible on many ground shipped items. In any case, Bravo to Tiger Direct for the fine service and great pricing.
