Tiger Direct is really onto something
Thursday, October 11th, 2007In this age of convenience and instant gratification via high-tech means, we can be used to seeing companies who sacrifice quality and customer service for speed, but Tiger Direct struck me as one of the few companies out there who really pride themselves in striking a good balance of the two. I have found that Tiger Direct is really onto something, especially in comparison to so many other retailers that exist today. I thought that ordering online or calling in an order to have it shipped long distance would be troublesome most of them. To this day, I am happy to report that I’ve never had any problems with any of my Tiger Direct orders. Well, to be honest, I had what might be considered a “problem,” but it was taken care of so swiftly and hassle-free by one of the reps over at Tiger Direct, that I don’t even count it as a “problem.” In October 2006, I ordered a bare bones kit along with other peripheral devices, one of which as a media dash board. The media dash board had some compatibility problems (I had not quite done my homework like I thought I had), and I needed to exchange it. I spoke with a great representative there who walked me through the process of selecting a compatible unit based on my computer’s specs. Furthermore, the rep offered advanced replacement, which I was immediately reimbursed for upon arrival of the returned item. I couldn’t believe how hassle-free the whole thing was, and how promptly I received my replacement. The system works just perfectly to this day, and I even wrote Tiger Direct an email expressing my satisfaction with the whole matter.
