I Found My Dream Monitor
Tuesday, March 27th, 2007One of the few companies that seems to take customer satisfaction seriously, and at their prices, one of the last I’d expect it from.
I found my “dream” monitor a 21″ flat screen crt (best for graphics work) online for $49 (after rebates) at Tiger Direct and added it to my Christmas list for my boyfriend (along with some RAM, a wireless mouse and surround speakers, no jewelry for this woman). The monitor was advertised as a 21″ refurbished (he didn’t like the idea of “used” but I insisted that anything went through rigorous testing) listing for $89, and was only $49 afer rebate. Now, these monitors usually sell for at least $200 or more. In subfreezing weather, my boyfriend showed up on Christmas with a HUGE box, semi-gift wrapped–the box was about 3′ square, I have no idea how he got it in his Camry. I was thrilled! This thing was massive, close to 100 lbs. We took it upstairs, along with my new speaker system (I’d already purchased a wireless mouse) and anxiously hooked it up. (more…)
